Warsh had the plan to ply yours truly with wine b/c my poker playing becomes much looser when filled with wine. But it backfired!!! Was knocked out first but bought back in and managed to take BOTH Warsh and Yeti down in ONE HAND!!! Ended up splitting the cash with NJ, but was super pissed that Yeti had the nerve to say, "Well, you just got lucky." Pardon my french, but I call bullshit! While I am the only girl in the poker game, do not discount how well I slow played those suckers to knock them out. I ROCK!!! But for those who have not heard there are two pictures of me in the latest issue of ABC Soaps In Depth magazine, on newstands until next Friday. The picture of me and hottie from the previous post is from the same event where the pictures in the magazine were taken. It was a fan event in Dallas for Josh Duhon, the hottie who plays Logan, and Kin Shriner, the loveable scoundrel Scotty Baldwin. Sis was kind enough to attend with me and it was a great time. Kin lives down here in FLL when he's not working so we talked a lot about local places. He actually was asking me exactly where I live b/c he rides his Vespa through my neighborhood all the time. Plus he signed everything to me with, "See you in Fort Lauderdale!". Haven't started stalking him yet, though.

Here's a scan from the mag:

So, Josh and I will be seeing each other again in May in Orlando for a charity event where I'll be at his table.

In other news, DM finally dragged me out of my cocoon to hang out at Mark's with some friends for Valentine's Day and we had a blast. As I said in a comment to ETK, our theme for the night was "Fuck it, it's Valentine's Day!". We're going out this Friday to do it all over again. The lovely ladies and wine nights, we now have a new deal where we have to go out at least once a week.

Saw "In Bruges" on Friday, which was very good, with Neighbor Jeff. The previous weekend his girlfriend was in town and DM, NJ, NJ's Girl and myself went out for dinner and drinks after bowling and NJ and I were discussing how we'd never actually seen a Colin Farrell movie. He is very good in this one and it's pretty funny. Very much a dark comedy and NJ pointed out that of the main characters, two of them were also in the Harry Potter movies. Thought that was an interesting point.

That's all I have for now, but will report more later. Babysat for my baby Izzie this past weekend and have her birthday party and baptism coming up this weekend. So yet another busy weekend.

It's My Birthday and I Will Avoid Blogging If I Want To

Well, unless ETK is holding you hostage and making you blog while you wait for pizza. Christmas in Austin.

2. My visit to Dallas with Sister to see the hottie mentioned below. So here's a new idea I've come up with to try and post at least once a week. I've been shuffling through my ipod lately and thought I would do a music series. Seems appropriate since I use song titles and lyrics for my blog titles. The series will be about which songs I've been really into listening to on my ipod.

The first one I'll start with is Love Song For No One by John Mayer. Here's some of the lyrics:

Staying home alone on a Friday
Flat on the floor looking back
On old love
Or lack thereof
After all the crushes are faded
And all my wishful thinking was wrong
I'm jaded
I hate it

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
Get here

Searching all my days just to find you
I'm not sure who I'm looking for
I'll know it
When I see you
Until then, I'll hide in my bedroom
Staying up all night just to write
A love song for no one

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

Thought that this song was pretty approprate for me in the following ways:
1. From my past relationships, I think I am pretty jaded as mentioned in the first verse. And I think I do hate it. As many of you know I do tend to have a short attention span with relationships and I think my love of movies has me waiting for that big "lighting-bolt" which in reality most likely doesn't exist.
2. The part about "hurry up and get here" reminds me of the days when ETK and I would lay around in our pajamas all day in our apartment and order chinese food from the restaurant in our back yard. I would always say that Mr. Right would know where to find me and should just knock on the door so I wouldn't have to go out and find him.
3. The second verse also relates to the lighting-bolt moment. I've only had one relationship where I really felt those butterflies in my stomach the first time I saw someone but our timing was just never right. We were always able to pick up right where we left off but in the end, timing always screwed us up in one way or another.

So, that's the first in my music series. I've got some other stuff to post about as well that I'll work on. But this will get Sis and ETK off my back for a little bit, I hope.

Happy New Year to all!

Bigger Than My Body

So was playing around on itunes this weekend and downloaded some John Mayer stuff and I've been really into listening to Bigger Than My Body, one of his songs. I just really love the chorus, "Someday I'll fly, someday I'll soar. Someday I'll be so much more. 'Cause I'm bigger than my body gives me credit for." I just really like that. I think I've been feeling that lately, like I'm waiting for something big to happen to me.

Let's see, here's the recap of my weekend:
Saturday - Got a facial, which was awesome as always. I just love Robin, my facialst, she rocks. Went shopping with Diesel's Mom (to be know as DM now in posts). DM and her bf are going skiing and she's been trying to find ski pants and a jacket. She's never been before so I've been telling her how freaking cold it will be. They are going to Breckinridge in two weeks, when I was in college I went with a bunch of Delta-peeps including HGL to Breckinridge and it was around the same time they are going. I remember we froze our asses off! So we went to Sports Authority to try and find some cheap stuff for her. Her bf told her to get bibs, but she didn't want those. She found a pair of black ski pants on sale but also wanted to try some of the kids ski pants b/c they were cuter. Well, the kids pants fit her but they were low riders. When she tried on the black pants, she was joking that they were "mom" pants because they came up so high on her waist. I told her they were supposed to do that so she wouldn't get snow in her vagina. Well this set off a continual joke we couldn't stop laughing at. She joked about getting an '80s Jane Fonda leotard that would snap at the bottom to keep the snow out of her vagina. She went with the black pants by the way.
Sunday - Since DM and I didn't find her a jacket on Saturday we went to Sawgrass to Burlington b/c one of her clients said they had a bunch of ski stuff there. They had a ton of jackets but most were really expensive. She found a really cute white one that she said was incredibly warm for under $50. It had a hood with some fur on the edge that looked really cute when she was completely zipped up. Plus it had all these cute pockets inside for lipstick, keys, a cellphone, and a special pocket for an ipod. I managed to find some cute slippers, actually three pairs of cute slippers. I may have traded my linen addiction for slippers, I just love them. Since it was Sunday we also had bowling. In keeping with tradition, one of the gays said he would totally marry me if he were straight, so I got that going for me. DM and I were having fun, everytime someone did well we would do a two-person wave. After bowling we hit Total Wine, which rocks! Got some really great wine and we decided to try an Argentian Malbec that was really good with dinner. DM likes to cook so she makes dinner for me for taking care of her baby while she's at work on Saturdays. So the really fun part, after shopping we grabbed some lunch where we had the best mojitos! So at lunch we each had two mojitos, then at bowling we went through two pitchers of beer, then had a bottle of wine with dinner. It was a nice drunk Sunday.

Life Is NOT A Highway

Not with gas prices these high! If it is a highway, it's a ride in the carpool lane but alas I am single. I spent over $50 on a tank of gas last night, it's ridiculous! When I was in college you could fill your tank for $10. I remember the BP just outside of campus could get as low as $0.85/gallon. Oh, the good ole days. Of course as I type this I do realize that was over 10 years ago, christ I feel old.

So ETK is bloodthirsty for a new blog since she got back from the land of Dracula. My fear of her suddenly popping up at my door and not having a reflection in my mirror has caused me to think of the most mundane things to write about. But I guess that is my theme.

I've got some more ideas, but I'll get to them later tonight. Until then, peace out hommies!

Oops, here's my latest crush. I'll write more about him later also.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CuobwPfzlC8/R02Frm74AsI/AAAAAAAAAAM/zXKOuyOrSeg/s320/Josh-Duhon-profile.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5137909734132155074" />

Just Want To Bang On A Drum All Day

Well, it's Friday and I'm so unmotivated to work. I have some stuff to do, but don't feel like doing it. Nothing to exciting to post about today, but ETK has been riding me to keep posting.
No big plans for the weekend. Have to go to the gym tomorrow, then planning on hanging out with Mrs. P and my baby Izzy P. I told Mr. & Mrs. P that I had decided Izzy was actually my baby and I was just letting them raise her. I had a baby shower for a friend at work on Wednesday and while I was buying a gift for her I also got a cute little outfit and a Santa hat for Izzy. When I got to the office I gave it to Mr. P to take home. So yesterday, Mrs. P calls me and says, "What are you doing buying my daughter more gifts when it's not a holiday?" Just can't help it, she's such a cutie pie! Plus she loves me, I'm her favorite person. She's told me so herself, even though she's only 9 months old and can't really talk, it's in her eyes. :)
Sunday of course is bowling. My neighbors and I are in a gay bowling league. Mostly men, there are only three women that bowl. And our team is the only all straight team but we have so much fun. Of course the music they play while we bowl if fabulous, so we all dance around and goof off. The crazy thing is I've had about five of the gay guys on the league tell me, "If I was straight, I would totally date you." I'm sorry, doesn't really help me here! So I tell them to find me some straight men.
Oh, I have been having the worst time waking up in the morning. I really thought the time change would help, but I'm going to bed at the same time, an hour later than before and waking up an hour later than before. Really sucks.
I guess that's enough randomness for today. Until later, peace out hommies!

You've Got A Friend

I’ve been feeling very selfish lately. Which has me worrying that I’m not as good of a friend as I should be. My closet friends are those I met in college or just after, but since we all spread so far out it’s much harder to stay in touch. Phone calls and emails every couple weeks are about the extent our contact has become. Or the occasional vacation to see each other. I think about this now because I many of those said friends are going through several issues in their own lives that I wish I could help out more and be a better friend.
One of the said friends has been a pilot in the Airforce since we graduated and is currently somewhere in the Middle East, but can’t tell us where he is. He does send out occasional emails and photos with funny stories of something he’s been doing. I especially enjoyed when his whole crew grew appeared to have 70’s style porn mustaches. Or the photo after he shaved his head, the funnier part was the wall behind him is decorated with tons of photos of scantily clad women and then just over his shoulder is a photo of Ponch and John from CHIPS, don’t know why but I’m still confused about that one. I’m sure it would not be a comfort to him that ever since he was transferred to a location that means he’s more involved in the ongoing war effort, I make sure to wake up every Sunday to catch This Week with George Stephanopoulos because they list all the names the Pentagon releases of Americans killed in action. I do so not out of morbid curiosity, but out of hoping not to see his name. Or whenever there is a military plane crash I check every site on-line to make sure it’s not his. He would probably rather get an email just checking in on him or providing him with my latest humorous anecdote. I have picked up the email contact, which goes along with another story I’ll blog about next time.
The others who I know check this blog, I don’t feel right going into their issues but I do wish there was more I could do for them. I wish they knew that if anything were to happen I would be on the first plane out to see them. But since my nature is to try to keep things on the light side through humor and all around goofiness, I don’t think I let them know enough how much I care for them and worry for them. I can only hope that they know me so well that they get what I’m doing.
Well, I think I’ve whined enough for today. Sorry for the self-pity party, just some thoughts I had that I wanted to get down. Until later my lovelies, here’s a stupid joke someone sent me:
WHAT DOES A KISS TASTE LIKE?
One day a teacher had a taste test with her students.
She picked a little boy to do the first test.
She blindfolded him, put a Hershey kiss in his mouth and asked, “Do you know what it is?”
“No, I don’t”, said the little boy.
“Okay, I’ll give you a clue. It’s the thing you daddy wants from your mommy before he goes to work.”
Suddenly a little girl at the back of the room yelled, “Spit it out! It’s a piece of ASS!”

If It Makes You Happy

Jeez, people! Happy now?

So, thought I'd tell everyone a funny little story from a few years ago. When ETK and I were living together we were trying to plan a fun sun-filled lazy vacation. We looked at various islands and resorts but eventually settled on my mom's condo in Belleair Beach, FL. I think money and time were the issues for deserting the island idea. Also this was when the condo was mostly empty b/c mom was still living in Ohio. We rented an eclipse convertible, which was tons of fun. Although I don't recommend trying to take the top down while driving on the freeway on the way back from Ybor City (translation = drinking). The 'rents condo is located right on the Gulf. We would walk on the beach and check out the multi-million dollar homes and come up with crazy ways we could live in one and never have to work again. And here is the one we came up with:

ETK was to meet and fall in love with Derek Jeter and have their daughter, little Humdrum Baxley (not the real name, but protecting the bloggers). She would often come down to visit me in my palatial home on the beach that I was able to afford because of a man we referred to only as "my late beloved benefactor". A much much older extremely weathly gentleman who died while in the middle of intimacy with moi. Now because I had made him so happy in his final years, his children had no objection to the large sum he was generous enough to leave me in his will, which no longer required me to work and allowed me to live in the lap of luxury. We would have great adventures together where I would call and say, "ETK, I'm in Paris shopping and need some company. I'll send the jet to pick you up right away."
Now, during all this happiness, tragedy was soon to follow. ETK's beloved husband Derek Jeter came down with a mysterious ailment that was only know as Derek Jeter's disease. Following his untimely demise, ETK was aided in her grief by her late husband's best friend Alex Rodriguez. (Ed. Note: This was back when A-Rod still played for the Rangers and he and Jeter were still friends.) Soon ETK and A-Rod were falling in love while working through their shared grief. They would soon marry and ETK would give birth to little Etienne (we just really liked saying that name.)

My relaying of this story now leads me to the conversation ETK and I had last Friday. I was driving home and heard on the radio that there was speculation that Atlanta may be trying to get A-Rod as a free agent. I immediately called ETK at work to relay the news. She was beyond excited. She said she would have to prepare Baby for their upcoming divorce when I reminded her that there wouldn't be a need for divorce b/c Baby could contract Derek Jeter's disease and she could get the life insurance money. I won't go into the ways we discussed of Baby's contracting Derek Jeter's disease, just in case the authority's find this blog.

Hope that entertains you all for awhile.

Time, Time, Time, See What's Become of Me

Alrighty, I got a talking-to from ETK last weekend for not posting in forever. Luckily for Sis and Mrs K who love to read ETK's blog, although ETK now feels the pressure since others are reading. Have also added the Temko clan's various blogs.

Speaking of ETK, congrats to her and RAK on their 1st anniversary!!! You work out in a private suite one on one, so hopefully I can get motivated again to working out. Really need to get my fat ass back in shape. So I'll try to blog about that experience tomorrow.

But I have come up with an idea of something to blog about that should keep me writing for awhile. I'm going to start a series about my neighbors at the Elizabethan. I've really been enjoying where I'm now living because I have some great neighbors and enjoying hanging out with them. So to start, here's some photos of my building.

It's a really cute building that people have referred to as the "Melrose Place German House". They are going to be repainting the outside to get rid of the yellow and green and make it more neutral colors. But the yellow and green make a really good landmark when telling people how to get there. There are 16 units total, 4 two bedrooms and 12 one bedrooms. Mine is a two bedroom on the 2nd floor, unit 206. So, I'll try to get some more pictures and start telling everyone a little bit about my neighbors.

The plan is to work from unit over since I mostly hang out with the neighbors to the north of me in units 205, 204 and 203.

Don't Call It A Comeback

Alright, I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted anything but I'll see if I can get back into the swing of things here.
To be honest, nothing exciting has really been going on lately. Work has been crazy and I've been so exhausted that I basically pass out for at least an hour when I get home then I'm useless the rest of the night. Needless to say, my ass is now huge. I really need to get back into working out.
Well, I went to Atlanta in July to hang out with the Kearns, which was a delight. Had fun hanging out at the pool with everyone, it was so relaxing. Now I just have to talk ETK into coming down here.
Went to Tampa this past weekend for my mom's birthday and ate at the best French restaurant. I have to hand it to my parents, they really have a nack for finding restaurants off the beaten path. They live in a small town on the Gulf that has a lot of tourists, but this place has so many good places that a tourist would never be able to find, only the locals. I also got a really cute Coach purse on sale, only paid $40 for it, so that was exciting for me.
Sis and I were trying to plan a spa trip out to Arizona, but both are work schedules have disrupted that. So we're trying to think of something to do once we get a free date that works for both of us. Any cool vacation suggestions?
My O's are killing me right now. I guess since they are 17 games back in the division they have given up this season to prep for next year. They've traded Javy Lopez to Boston. Since he'll be a free agent next year I suppose it was a good business decision, however I am worried that we may loss Tejada next year.
Also, props go out to the McB's for the arrival of Baby Boy #2, now offically know as Cooper Z but referred to as Zip or Baby, by Ty (AKA #1).
So, I'll try to be better about posting and see if I can come up with something more interesting to talk about next time. Also, I'm playing with the templates so be patient while I find one that I like.

I Want Candy

On our jobsite we have a site foreman who is H-O-T. Lady Ray and I have been drooling over him since he arrived. He is also very young looking. One day we were talking and I asked Lady Ray how old she thought he was, "At least 23", she replied. Well, yesterday we overheard him talking to the site engineer who asked how old he was. He's only 20! Unbelievable! I feel so old!
So, Lady Ray and I came back from lunch and he "hey-ed" us as we walked onto the site. As we walked away I said, "I can't believe he's only 20." Lady Ray replied, "You could teach him a thing or two." and I answered, "I could buy him beer."
I'll see if one of the guys can get a picture of him so everyone can see our jobsite eye-candy.

I'm A Loser Baby

The O's got swept this weekend by the Sox, and badly, so they're now in last place of the AL East. The good news is they are tied with the Yankees for last place. So we got that going for us.
Since last season, BD and I have bets for each O's/Sox series. Basically the winner gets to pick out something for the loser to wear of the winning team and ridicule them in public. Got a text message from him this afternoon that he's already got the shirt he wants me to wear. Of course he still owes me from last season when the Sox couldn't seem to beat to the O's, so this time will probably be a mutual ridicule.
This weekend I went to my company picnic on Saturday and as usual did not win anything in the raffle. For those who don't know, every large company function we have they have a raffle in which they give away cash and vacation days, up to $500 and up to 1 week extra vacation. I've been to many of these functions, in fact all of them since I've been working there, and have yet to win anything in the raffle. So of course the one time that I leave early is when I will finally win, since you have to be present to win.
After the picnic, I picked up Beau and we headed over to Casa de Perez to hang out and watch movies. We watched "Just Friends" with Ryan Reynolds and it was hilarious! If you get a chance rent it. Ryan Reynolds is great! The next movie we watched was "Waiting" also with Ryan Reynolds, this was slow to start and not as good as the first movie.
So, today has been pretty slow. Luckily Beau was so exhausted from playing with Louis that I was able to get a couple extra hours of sleep after I woke up at 7:30 this morning. I went to the grocery store since my fridge has been empty for the past two weeks. Came home, did laundry and then watched the Orioles game.
Now, Beau is passed out on the couch for his 5th nap of the day as I update my blog.
Spoke to ETK today as she was driving home from Pensacola with RAK and I'm so excited to go visit them in July. Got my plane ticket on Friday and can't wait for July to arrive.

Just Call Me Angel Of The Morning

There ya go, Sis!
I have never been a morning person and have always enjoyed being able to sleep in on weekends. However, lately I have been unable to sleep past 8am and it's driving me crazy. While many weekends it's a good thing because I can get stuff done early but I really looking forward to sleeping in today since I've been so tired all week. But NO! Woke up at 8am and couldn't go back to sleep. Part of this I blame on Beau, who's been a bit of a pill in the morning lately. But he has no problem going back to sleep after waking me up.
So, last night I caved and signed up for the MLB sports package on my cable so now I can watch all the Orioles games on TV in my living room. I was trying to find a bar down here that would show the Orioles games, but had no luck. Of course there's tons that have the Yankees, Red Sox, and the Marlins are always on, but no O's. This surprised me considering they host Spring Trainig for the O's here, but no support during the season.
Since the trade of my precious Larry Bigbie last year to Colorodo (he's since been traded to St. Louis) I've been looking for another substitute to drool over.
Bigbie in his Baltimore days:
I like to call this one "Nice Gloves".
While watching the O's get killed by the Sox last night, I may have found my new boytoy.
Ladies, I introduce you to Nick Markakis.
Not too many pictures up of him yet as he's just been called up this season, but we'll see how it goes.

Hey Mr. DJ

At work the radio station I listen to is the hip-hop/pop station. I've realized this because it causes you to get very sick of the popular songs b/c they are played every hour on the hour.
I've found myself singing one of the songs on the porch of the trailer and Lady Ray will say, "I was just thinking of that song". I'll reply, "Of course it's been on the radio 5 times since we got here", that's around 10am. It's like having a CD on repeat.
Have you heard about this? Have you seen this? OPENING DAY!!! AND THE ORIOLES ARE 1-0!!!

Was actually able to catch some of the game on ESPN's Gametracker this afternoon while at work. Made it home to catch the last two innings. BD's and Doc's Sox also won today and ETK's Braves are winning as we speak. Can't wait to visit ETK and Husband in July to catch the O's/Braves and Cards/Braves games. Staying for the Cardinals so ETK can drool over Mark Mulder and I can swoon over my former Oriole Larry Bigbie! Of course ETK will also get to enjoy seeing her former future-fantasy-husband Javy Lopez with the O's.

Well, no other news really. Participated in the JDRF walk on Saturday morning and then headed down to see Senor and Senora Paz. Had a great time hanging out in their hammock and eating at the Big Cheese. Sunday was my lazy day in which I did nothing productive.

That's it for now, I'll have to think of something to write about soon. I feel I'm getting boring. As some of you may recall, I bought some roller baldes sometime last year and had yet to use them. I was waiting for Senora Paz to find hers in her storage unit so we could go and she could teach me. Then I met BD who played ice hockey and roller bladed and offered to teach me, this was last summer. But our schedules never worked out between his hockey and my kickball and we always missed the weekends. I thought I would never learn, especially when Sra. P wasn't able to find her blades and then she moved to South Dade County, much further that the 10 blocks away she had been.
Well, recently started talking to BD again and guess what?!? Went roller blading last night! So much fun. He picked me up and drove to Aventura where there is a 3 mile trail near the mall. I don't think he understood how I had NEVER rollerbladed before. I've roller skated and ice skated, but these roller blades frightened the be-jesus out of me. We pulled into the parking lot and I asked "Can we practice here first?", he replied "No, we'll just go right to the trail.". Well, that all changed when I put on the blades and as I tried to get up, promptly slid onto the ground. "Okay, why don't we practice first." BD stated as I lay on the ground.
So, we actually just skated around the parking lot for 2 hours until the mall security kicked us out. And I finally got the hang of it, so next time I'm ready for the trail!
Hopefully, we'll get out there this weekend. I've got the JDRF Walk Saturday morning and was going to try to make a visit to the Paz Residence also.
More later!

Pink, It's My Favorite Crayon

Got back from Disney on Tuesday and I was exhausted. I can't believe how much we walked around. Some pics below:

I thought this was the funniest picture. We were at the gift shop at Animal Kingdom and started playing with all the hats. Here's Dr. K as the Goofmeister and Deb and I as the Goofy Crew. All day we would see people, adults not just kids, walking around with these hats on and I had really had to wonder, "Do you think they hang out at home wearing these hats? What's the point of buying them?"

Here's Doc and the Mrs with the mouse ears that Doc said "It looks like a yarmulka." I think the in-laws would be so impressed with him wearing one.

Here's the Sorceresses and Pluto.

So here's the rundown of the trip:

Saturday night -
Deb and I arrive at the All-Star Music Resort exhausted and hungry. All our previous talk of going out to get our swerve on was replaced with Cracker Barrel for dinner and then passing out in the hotel.

Sunday -
Doc and the Mrs arrive around 8:00am. Everyone gets freshened up and we head to the Port Orleand Riverside to check in for the remainder of our trip. Grab some breakfast at the food court area in the hotel and pay $3.00 for orange juice, we couldn't believe it.
Did I mention how cold it was in Orlando? We were wearing jeans and jackets and still cold, the sun was out but the breeze was killing us.
We head over to the Magic Kingdom and start in Tomorrowland to hit Space Mountain. The wait is over an hour, so we grab some Fast Pass tickets for 1-ish then head over to Buzz Lightyear (40 minute wait). Buzz was pretty cool, you get to spin around while trying to shoot at a bunch of targets and rack up some points. The Mrs was killing all of us scoring in the multiple thousands. We get off the ride and the Doc says "I want to shoot more stuff!" So a successful ride.
Next we wait in line for the Stitch (of Lilo & Stitch) Experience. It's basically a show/ride, you don't really go anywhere. Last time I was at Disney, around 1999, this was the Extra-Terrorestrial a really scary experience, they used to have signs up that it was not recommended for young chidren even. Well, it now sucks. The thing got kiddie-ized, not as good as it once was.
We go back to Space Mountain and with our fast pass, we're flying past the people waiting on stand-by. We get to the top and our told there's a malfuction and the ride will be shutting down for a while. Luckily they said they would honor the fast pass for the rest of the day.
We headed over to the Haunted Mansion which only had a 20 minute wait. We walked around alot but the lines were really long. Deb was all happy to get churros and around that time the first parade was starting so we hung out and watched the high school bands go through while the Doc mocked them, "You call that a band!".
We had dinner reservations so we had to have enough time to catch the bus back to the hotel and freshen up. So we got on Space Mountain which by now was back working and had a blast. Space Mountain still rocks! Then we headed back to the hotel.
Had dinner at the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk Resort, dinner was really good and dessert was even better.
Now since we were staying at the resort we were able to take advantage of the Extended Magic Hours, certain parks on certain days stay open late. The rides at Magic Kingdom closed at 11:00pm unless you had a wrist band b/c you stayed at the resort then the rides were open until 2am. Deb went back to the hotel and the Doc, Mrs and myself went to the park. We hit all the little rides in Fantasy Land, Mrs got quesy on the Teacups, checked out the Winnie the Pooh ride which replaced Mr. Toad several years ago, hit Peter Pan and did Space Mountain again and Thunder Mountain which is really cool at night. The line for Thunder Mountain is so deceiving, just when you think you've reached the ride there's a whole other cattle thing to go through. Got back to the hotel around 1:00am and passed out.
Monday -
Got up early to head over to Animal Kingdom to check out Expedition Everest. Or as it is now called, BEST DISNEY RIDE EVER! This is the new ride they just opened and it ROCKED! I highly recommend it. Next we did the It's Tought To Be A Bug, a 3-D show with the Bug's Life gang. Really the best 3-D show they have at Disney. Checked out Animal Kingdom for awhile and grabbed lunch there, then headed over to MGM.
Now, I love Tower of Terror and the Mrs was freaked about going b/c she hates freefalls. The line for Tower of Terror was reading at 90 minutes and the fast passes were all gone. So we decided to check out the Aerosmith Rock-n-Rollercoaster. Line time 60-70 minutes. The whole time you're in line they're playing Aerosmith songs and we were amazed some of the songs they would play considering the subtext involved in many of their songs, "I can't believe they're playing Pink!". We finally get to the ride and they have a recorded message saying that the ride involves loops, corkscrews and going upside down. UPSIDE DOWN! I hate rides that go upside down and thought for sure no Disney ride would ever do that, but I was wrong. So the deal became that if I went on the coaster, Mrs would do Tower of Terror. The ride actually was incredibly quick, only a couple of minutes if that, and you're completely in the dark so I never felt like I was upside down, so not too bad.
So MGM was having the extended hours until midnight, so we decided to grab some dinner at our hotel and then head back to do the rides we missed b/c the lines were much easier at night. So we went to Tower of Terror first. Mrs was getting nervous and once we got on the ride had her eyes clenched and was gripping the handrails. The picture they took was priceless as the Doc said, "She's crying!". But it really wasn't that bad for her, she said the not-knowing made it worse and the ride wasn't as bad as she thought. Next we did the Star Tours, the Star Wars ride and then the Muppet 3-D show. Then headed back to the hotel around 11:30pm.
Tuesday -
Got up early and went to Waffle House for breakfast. We don't get the Wo-Ho down in South Florida and it was soooooo good! I missed the regular Wo-Ho fix I used to get in Atlanta. Headed over to Animal Kingdom to hit Everest again and do the Safari. We actually did Everest twice in a row, still a cool ride but loses some of the edge after the third time. The Safari was really cool, the animals are really close. Here's a pic of some elephants we saw:

So after the Safari it was close to 2:00 and Deb and I wanted to hit the road to beat the rush hour traffic on the turnpike. So said goodbye to the Doc and Mrs, who headed to Epcot, and hit the road. Had a really great time and it was great to see the Ks. Deb was so great to go with me after the whole mess with FBF, so thanks again Deb!

It Feels So Good When You Let Go Of All The Drama In Your Life

Alright, I'm back. Sorry for the long wait. Was going through a little bit of drama lately which we all know doesn't work with my mundane, humdrum life. But thankfully all of that is over now. Long story short, I'm single again.
So let's get back to the show!
I'm extremely excited about this weekend. I'm meeting Dr. and Mrs. Kruczek at Disney World, we'll be there Sunday thru Tuesday. So hopefully I'll have some new pictures to post as I have been getting requests for pictures other than Beau.
Debbie will be going with me, taking the place of the FBF (Former Boyfriend or Dickhead, as Mrs. Perez calls him).
Well, that's all I can think of for now, but I promise to be better with my postings from now on.

The Winner Takes It All

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but as I had mentioned to ETK, I've been trying to title my posts with either song titles or song lyrics. When I was imagining this blog I had TONS of ideas and now my mind is blank.
Here's something that's really been bugging me. Why is it that no one seems to know the traffic rules of circles? As a former resident of DC, I was very used to circles and knew that the cars in the circle have the right of way. Well, my three mile commute to the jobsite contains a circle and NOBODY gets the rule! Everyone is always stopping in the circle to let someone in or waits to be waved through from the other person waiting to go into the circle. This drives me nuts!!! Much like people who can't make a left turn on to K Street, it's not that hard!
That just came to me this morning on my drive in but it's been bugging me for over a year. I'll try to come up with something more interesting later.

The First Time Ever I Blogged This Space

Well, hello.
